TECH COMPANIES IN NIGERIA

Technology is the bedrock of development in a Nation and countries with massive technological innovations influence the economic, political and social aspect of other countries this is why some people have deemed it fit to proffer technological solutions in Nigeria. An IT company always provide technology services and or provide solutions and few of them in Nigeria are;

Hotels.ng: It is an online hotel booking platform in Nigeria, one of the successful tech companies in Nigeria managed by a CEO (Mark Essien) with tech background and was Founded in 2012.

Microsoft

Microsoft is leading IT company and they have their operation center in Nigeria. They provide various IT-related services, like cloud computing, Smartphone technology, hardware manufacturing and developer tools. They are involved in design tools and software programming too. A big multinational company with over 10,000 employees.

9mobile

9Mobile (Formerly Etisalat) is a multinational Telecommunication company in the UAE with operations spread across the middle-east and Africa.

9Mobile changed its company’s name from Etisalat to “9Mobile” on the 14th of July, 2017, its major operations involve the provision of GSM, data, and international roaming services to its customers.

Google

Google is currently the world’s largest and most respected search engine. The American based, search engine giant has operations that cut across several countries of the world. Some of their services include cloud computing, online advertising, online search, and software.

Huawei

They have specialty in various areas, like carrier network and consumer devices. They are also involved in enterprise solutions and ICT. They are multinational and have many years of operation in Nigeria. With over 10,000 people in their employment.

MTN Nigeria is part of the MTN group, a company whose subsidiaries cuts across Africa. MTN Nigeria commenced operations in 2001. Their primary services include the provision of GSM, data, international roaming and mobile phone retail services. MTN is known for its extended network coverage, which is the best amongst the telecoms operators in the country.

Globalcom Limited is a Nigerian owned telecommunication company owned by Mike Adenuga, in fact, one of the pioneering telecommunication companies in Nigeria. Glo’s primary services include the provision of data and telephony services and has operations in Ghana, Togo and Cote d’Ivoire.

Iroko Partners is the largest Youtube partner in Africa, with over 500,000 movie licenses purchased, over 14 million hours of media content on its license rights and more than 800,000 registered users, making it the largest distributor of Nollywood content globally.

Etranzact, a local multi-application and multi-channel electronic transaction switching and payment processing platform. Launched in 2003, it has evolved into a multinational brand, rolling out products such as ATM, Internet, POS, and Mobile in 6 other countries including South Africa, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Cote d’voire and United Kingdom.

Intel Nigeria

Intel Corporation is an American multinational technology company headquartered in Santa Clara, California. Intel is one of the world’s largest and highest valued semiconductor chip makers, based on revenue. Intels Nigeria Limited was established 25 years ago with the vision to develop an integrated logistics solution offering a complete package of facilities and services to the Oil & Gas industry in Nigeria.

Konga This is an eCommerce company in Nigeria and is gradually growing together with Jumia Online they are among the major drivers of the eCommerce boom in Nigeria.

Jobberman

It was founded in 2009, and it is one of the biggest job search engines in Nigeria with thousands daily unique visits.
